Review of the Orion Postgraduate Course 2016
I am, like so many of you, a busy person and therefore careful with how I spend my time. I qualified as a homeopath 7 years ago, did a years post graduate course in Canada and since then have attended several seminars and conferences. My crazy schedule demands that I have no choice but to be selective and juggle my own educational needs with my busy practice, my family, writing, blogging and living between two countries. The point here is that my time is precious.

'Move to Canada leads member to a new training programme'

Why I am a homeopath...
(Short, sweet, slightly tongue in cheek, with a very serious edge.)
To be a homeopath in the current climate, one must have a deep sense of commitment and endurance. The word 'endurance' is not chosen lightly. Over the years I have been practicing, this is a key prerequisite, and is not said without an element of humour.
A significant although relatively frequent occurrence follows and I am sure I am not alone in the sort of scenario where one (me, as the homeopath) tries to emerge victorious at stuffy dinner parties, when invariably my 'knowing' friends have placed me next to some eminent whiz kid with a PhD in 'an inability to communicate’ and ‘don’t try that eye contact thing with me dear.’ I am invariably grilled as to why I would wish to waste my time dispensing and encouraging others to take sugar pills, (homeopathy described by said dinner guest in such terms) when evidently there are such wonderful medicines already out there that real doctors prescribe.
